LFW: GY Kimchoe AW16

During London Fashion Week, I have attended the GY Kimchoe AW16 presentation which was very interesting.

GY Kimchoe is a london-based womenswear label established by South Korean design duo Gyo Kim and Yuni Choe, GY Kimchoe takes an intelligent approach to luxury design, creating innovative collections.

Of the collection, the duo say "We wanted to create a dark fairytale-like magical collection that is modern and new while simultaneously exploring the past and mixing it with an imaginative future."

Looking to 1930's childrenswear and military uniforms, GY Kimchoe used a similar painterly approach and Drager's colour palette of navy, burgundy, mustard, royal blue, and moss, outlined and constrasted with charcoal. Neoprene velvets create classic, yet oversized silhouettes.
